Police release name of man who died in Driving Park Ave shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police said that 41-year-old Corey Wilson is the man who was fatally shot on Monday night on Driving Park Avenue.
Wilson was a resident of East Irondequoit and police are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting. He is the 65th homicide victim of 2022.
The Rochester Police Department first responded at 11:30 p.m. Officers found a man in his 40s with multiple gunshot wounds on Driving Park Avenue near School No. 34, in northwest Rochester.
An ambulance took the man to Strong Hospital, where died. There’s no word on any suspects and the RPD major crimes unit will provide more information later.
